Code Of Conduct

Every student is expected to follow these rules to maintain discipline, safety, and school values.

Section 1

Being on time and consistency in attendance are required.
Students who were missing the previous day must present a note of explanation.
A Medical Certificate should also be supplied in the event of illness.
Students who anticipate arriving home late after school for personal reasons must notify their parents/guardians in advance.
Irregular attendance, unjustified or unexplained absences from school, habitual being late, leaving the school premises without permission, disobedience, and any other type of disruptive and objectionable behaviour are considered grave acts of indiscipline on the part of a student, and can result in rustication from the school.

Section 2

If a student's reporting time is 7.50 a.m., he or she should not arrive at school before 7.20 a.m.
7.50 a.m. to 8 a.m. counts as a late arrival, but the child may enter the school; after 8 a.m., no student may enter the school.

Section 3

Students must have a clean uniform and polished shoes to school.
Hair and nails should be trimmed on a regular basis.
Trinkets, ornaments, henna, tattoo, or piercings are not permitted to be worn to school.
Girls with long hair should knot their hair.
Skirts should be worn to the knee.

Section 4

Students are not permitted to bring inappropriate books or pricey things to school.
The school accepts no responsibility for missing items, money, or other valuables.
Cell phones, iPods, CDs, DVDs, e-games, pen drives, and other electronic devices are not authorised on campus.
They are not permitted to use school phones unless they get permission.
They cannot be summoned to the school office during school hours to answer phone calls.

Section 5

Respect for school belongings and property is an absolute requirement.
Graffiti should not be written, scratched, or engraved on desks, chairs, or other surfaces by students.
They must not harm or take anything belonging to the students.
If there is collective damage to school property in a classroom, the entire class that is occupying that classroom will be charged for the cost of the damage.
A watchful attitude towards keeping the surroundings clean should be maintained.
All waste paper should be collected and disposed of properly.
Students are not permitted to leave the classroom without a Class Pass and the teacher's authorization.
All students must keep to the left while going between classrooms in the halls and utilising the stairs.
Students must move in such a way that no class is disrupted.
Even during the break, loitering in the lobby and office spaces is absolutely prohibited.

Section 6

A student must always use appropriate terminology.
He must make certain that his words are kind and polite.
Foul and unparliamentary language is not allowed.
Every student is expected to bring their school Identity Card (which has complete information about their name/class/transportation/home address) to school every day.
Crackers, fireworks, fire weapons, and other combustible materials are not authorised in the school.
Students are expected to arrive on time with their books.
Disobedience and contempt towards members of staff, as well as a harmful moral impact, justifies dismissal of the student.
Students are not permitted to obtain private instruction from school teachers.
Parents are asked not to coerce teachers into doing so.

Section 7

No child is permitted to bring any type of gift to school for distribution, even for birthdays.
Purchasing food from street sellers is strictly prohibited outside of the school grounds.
Any communication sent by the school should be delivered to the parents as soon as possible.
Every student should approach the examination with complete honesty.
Any use of unfair tactics will be taken seriously, and may result in a zero in the subject or perhaps rustication from the school, depending on the nature of the situation.

Section 8

Most of us speak English as a second language, but it is also the medium of teaching.
To improve their spoken English, every student must talk in English at school (and, to the greatest extent possible, at home).
All members of staff must be treated with kindness and respect by students.
Respect for elders and fondness for juniors should be instilled from an early age.
Every student is obliged to respect the school's name and honour.
